William “Bill” Roscoe Sapp, Sr., 87, of Plant City, Florida, born March 15, 1934 in Plant City, entered into eternal rest July 6, 2021. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a retired area supervisor in the phosphate industry, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved his family dearly, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, watching westerns, and growing blueberries. He was preceded in death by wife of 66 years, Shirley Raulerson Sapp. He is survived by children, Sandra Sapp Richie, Rocky Sapp (Linda); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 11, at 4:00 P.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 South County Road 39, Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 P.M. A graveside committal with military honors will be held on Friday, August 6 at 11:00 A.M. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
